I prefer the most comfortable routes to the fastest. The vehicle's equipment has been particularly well thought out in order to limit stress and improve their comfort and safety: blue lighting, progressive ventilation, surveillance camera, etc. It has been checked, validated and approved by the DDPP prefecture services in type 2, allowing me long-distance journeys in France and Western Europe with a limit in the East that I have arbitrarily set at Germany / Hungary / Italy beyond which a road journey becomes really very long, but I sometimes exceed these limits, on a case-by-case basis.
To protect them and limit stress, I only transport several animals if they have the same place of departure and therefore their immune defenses are ready for cohabitation. They are so fragile physically and psychologically that I cannot imagine mixing them, often barely having left their mother, with a dozen, sometimes more, animals of different species, origins and microbes, which would be likely to cause behavioral after-effects, but also too often health-related after-effects...
To sum up, Mapets is an "ANIMAL TAXI" service and not an "ANIMAL BUS". I leave and arrive at the address of your choice, on the date and at the agreed time, except for special road conditions of course. The journey is direct so that your little protégé's journey is as short as possible, I keep you informed of the progress and give you news of your pet as often as possible... In short, everything you are entitled to expect from a real animal taxi service, quite simply!

Based in the South of France in the Gard department, my animal transport services accompany your animals to all or part of the countries of Western Europe with a limit to the East Germany/Hungary/Italy because beyond that the duration for road transport becomes unreasonable for our traveling companions. I can go further North to the Scandinavian peninsula or Ireland because we then have ferry transfers that allow your animal (and myself...) to rest and leave the vehicle for several hours. In this case a plane trip would certainly be faster, but with me you have the assurance of a permanent presence with your animal.
I only transport pets by road because I want to stay close to them and be able to monitor them throughout the journey. I take breaks very regularly, especially for the dogs so that they can stretch their legs and do their business, but also for the other animals to make sure that everything is going well and to take a little time with them to reassure them if necessary... and also a little for my pleasure, it's my relaxing break too!
All this takes time but it is the essence of our vision of pet transport, the law protects the animals transported but I want to do more and make their journey as pleasant as possible, even if a trip is always a source of stress, it is possible to limit the impact, and I try to do so with each trip!
Depending on the destination, it is also necessary to take into account the transfer of my vehicle by boat for example, which depending on the times and durations may compromise the possibility of delivery.
I also reserve the right to refuse a destination for various reasons such as questions of geopolitical context for example.
